Teachers

The following teachers continue to help me in my pathway of self-discovery, spiritual development and awareness. Maybe you will find something that resonates with you here too.

Ram Das

American spiritual teacher, psychologist, and author, Ram Dass helped popularize Eastern spirituality in the West. I find his teachings are accessible, authentic and easy ti incorporate into my spiritual practice.  Before embarking on his spiritual path Ram Dass, then Richard Alpert was one of the founding fathers of psychedelic research in the 1960’s, working alongside Timothy Leary at Harvard.

This podcast library is a wonderful resource.

 Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tolle is widely recognized as one of the most inspiring and visionary spiritual teachers in the world today. His profound yet simple teachings focus on the significance and power of Presence, the awakened state of consciousness that transcends ego and discursive thinking. His two books The Power of Now and A New Earth are highly enlightening and his YouTube channel is extensive.

 Gabor Mate

Dr. Maté weaves together scientific research, case histories, and his own insights and experience to present a broad perspective that enlightens and empowers people to promote their own healing and that of those around them.

Healing and the path to wholeness What he says in this first piece well describes how some of us have experienced the process of healing and awakening and how we each guide it in our own way. Whilst he references Ayahuasca you can interchange it with reference to all plant based medicines.

I found this short piece on attachment vs. authenticity very profound.

Alan Watts

Just jump down the rabbit hole of available material from philosopher Alan Watts. Included here to get you started is one I particularly like called How to see through the game - the secret to life happiness .

Francoise Bourzat

Councillor and experienced guide with sanctioned training from Mazatec and other indigenous traditions, Francoise Bourzat is a visionary pioneer in the area of consciousness medicine and the utilisation of psychedelics for healing and spirituality.

Jack Kornfield

Author, Buddhist practitioner, and one of the key teachers to introduce Buddhist mindfulness practice to the West. His teachings and mediations provide me great guidance. Check out his Heart Wisdom podcast in the meditation section.

Tara Brach

Tara Brach’s teachings blend Western psychology and Eastern spiritual practices, mindful attention to our inner life, and a full, compassionate engagement with our world. Check out her meditation podcast in the mediation section.
